Online storytime: There’s a Hippopotamus on Our Roof Eating Cake   

The theme for Book Week 2022 is Dreaming with Eyes Open.  To celebrate this event we will be reading the classic book There’s a Hippopotamus on our roof eating cake. 

A classic story about a girl and her imaginary Hippo friend.  The Hippo lives on the roof of the family home and does things that all children would love to be doing, like riding a bike, eating cake, watching TV, working at the zoo and never getting into trouble.  But when the leak on the roof is fixed, what happens to the Hippo?

This book is suitable for preschool aged children.
